Assist officers and their families with unplanned medical expenses or expenses due to accidents, natural disasters, or other unavoidable causes.
Support public safety education, projects, and programs in our community. Improve the officers' lives, health, morale, preformance, and safety.
Aid the families of fallen peace officers in their greatest time of need.
Once the Foundation acquires sufficient capital, it will pursue a variety of initiatives to achieve those goals, including partnerships with local grocery stores and restaurants to provide healthy shift meals, fitness and health programs, officer recognition and awards, and recruitment and retention efforts to ensure that we continue to have the very best officers in Central Texas.
The West Lake Hills Police Benevolent Foundation was formed in 2022 to support the peace officers who serve our city. We are fortunate to have a strong group of professionals who are committed to protecting our community.
Under the leadership of Police Chief Scott Gerdes and with the support of the West Lake Hills Mayor and City Council, the department is an exemplar within the local law enforcement community.
But there is only so much a municipal government can do to support these men and women.
The Foundations Board of Directors welcomes input on how to best fulfill its mission and ensure proper governance of the funs and programs it intends to support. If you are interest in helping please contact Chief Gerdes at West Lake Hills City Hall.
